European Fire Resistance Certification
of Randi® products
The introduction of new harmonized European Building Hardware Standards meens, that from now on fire doors across Europe shall comply with the same test performance and classifications. Fire doors with related building hardware (hinges, door closers, locks, trim, panic devices etc.) are to be testet according to DS/EN 1634-1:2000.

All lever handles, escutcheons, backplates, pull handles and signs in Randi-Line®, Classic-Line®, Line 18® and Craftsman Series are now tested and certified according to the above European standard. Included are products in stainless steel and brass - mounted on either timber based doorsets (up to 60 minutes integrity) or metal based doorsets (up to 240 minutes integrity, for Line 18 up to 180 minutes integrity). Further details and assessed performance are specified in the "Assessment Report WF No. 143179, Issue 4".

Fire Classification of Construction Products and Building Elements

Based on test performance according to DS/EN 1634-1 new classifications of fire doors are defined in DS/EN 13501. These classifications and new fire technical requirements were by June 1 2004 introduced in the Danish Building Regulation (BR 95).
In general fire doors need to be selfclosing, and 6 categories of use and two classifications are implemented:

-  Fire Resistance of Building Elements
-  Reaction to Fire Performance for Construction Products

All lever handles, escutcheons, backplates, pull handles and signs in Randi-Line®, Classic-Line®, Line 18® and Craftsman Series are tested and certified for use in the following classes:
